The Secure Messaging service only sends an email to notify the recipient that they have a new message. The message contents themselves are kept encrypted.

The user needs to authenticate to access the message. Whilst accessing the message the data is encrypted as it passes over the internet.

Authenticate

The recipient is sent an email to notify them of a new message. They have to know the password to access their email.

The recipient is sent an SMS code to access the message. They have to have their mobile phone.

Secure

All traffic between the users of the system is encrypted.

All data is encrypted in Microsoft secure UK data centres.

The service is assured by ISO27001 certification - the international standard for security management.
